In today’s softModder tutorial, I’ll be showing you what TalkBack is on your Android device, along with the dreaded Explore by Touch, a feature of TalkBack that helps the visually impaired or blind users.

When you have Explore by Touch enabled, it’s practically impossible to unlock your lock screen on a Samsung Galaxy Note II, Samsung Galaxy S III, HTC One, or other Android device with an OEM skin like Sense or TouchWiz. If you have a Google Nexus device like a Nexus 4 or Nexus 7 running pure Android, it’s actually quite simple (lucky you).

So, I’ll be showing you how to enable Talk Back and Explore by Touch, how they both work, how to get past your lockscreen when they are enabled, and how to turn off Explore by Touch and TalkBack.
